If I could use only one word to describe myself it would be passionate. Passionate about helping each of us to create the lives we want to live…about helping us to recognize our own unique power and learn to walk in it on a consistent basis…about helping each of us become our best selves. How I exercise that passion has varied over the years–my “day job” is with higher education institutions helping them become more inclusive, welcoming, and compassionate spaces for people with diverse identities, which we all have in one way or another. Outside of my 8 to 5 gig, I am a life coach, consultant, musician and writer, among other things.
I am a creative, visionary, deep thinker, and can see possibilities in just about any situation. In working one-on-one with people I have the ability to ask questions that help individuals discover the information they need from within themselves. We each have the best wisdom for our own lives, we simply need to learn to access it.
I spent 900+ days writing a blog focused entirely on gratitude, posting my “final” piece on December 31, 2013. I began writing “Consider This” on January 1, 2014. Some days I’m a deeply inspired blogger, others I struggle. But, I write every day–a private journal in the morning and a blog in the evening. The writing bookends have helped my stay disciplined and focused, particularly during some tough times when I definitely needed both, as well as a means of remaining positive and strong.
I hope you enjoy your time with Consider This. Feel free to comment and post. Thanks for being here!
